The rules for using Headcanon Hub. Last updated July 30, 2026.
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, to use Headcanon Hub. During this early preview, creating an account also requires an invite.
You are responsible for activity on your account. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk; keep your login secure and let us know if you think your account has been compromised.
Use the site in good faith. In particular, do not:
You keep ownership of what you add: your reviews, notes, shelf names and descriptions, and profile text. By posting it, you grant us a limited license to store and display it so we can run the service for you and, where you have made something public, show it to others.
You are responsible for the content you add, and we may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback (for example through the roadmap or by contacting us), you grant us the right to use them freely to improve Headcanon Hub, with no obligation, compensation, or confidentiality on our part.
Headcanon Hub is a tracker and index, not an archive. We never host, mirror, or serve the text of a fic. What we store is metadata about a work (such as its title, author, link, word count, summary, and tags) and your personal reading log. We do not copy, scrape, or store the story text itself.
Fic records are shared across all users, so they are not edited per person; you can propose corrections through the suggest-an-edit or report tools. If you are an author and want your work removed from the index, use our author removal request form.
Headcanon Hub links to fics and profiles hosted on other sites, and relies on third-party providers to run (such as our authentication, hosting, payment, and email providers). We do not control those sites or services, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. When you follow a link off Headcanon Hub or use a third-party service, that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
Headcanon Hub never hosts, mirrors, or serves the text of a fic. We store only metadata about a work (its title, author, link, word count, and tags) and a link to the original, not the story text itself.
If you are the author and simply want your work removed from the index, the quickest route is our author removal request form. If instead you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, you may notify our designated agent under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

We review valid notices, remove or disable access to the material where appropriate, notify the affected user, and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. For a notice to be valid, please include:
The core Headcanon Hub tracker is free. Premium is an optional paid tier that unlocks additional features, described where it is offered in the app. Premium is provided by Eggroll Games LLC, and payments are processed by our provider, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
Premium is offered as recurring subscriptions (billed monthly or annually) and, from time to time, as a one-time "lifetime" purchase. The price, billing interval, and included features are shown to you before you pay. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; your Premium access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, and will not renew after that. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a period, except as described below or as required by law.
A "lifetime" purchase is a one-time payment that grants Premium for the operational lifetime of the service. It does not renew. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of Headcanon Hub, not the purchaser’s: we may discontinue the service or the Premium tier, and will give reasonable notice if we do. A lifetime purchase confers no ongoing obligation once the service ends.
If you buy a lifetime plan while you have an active subscription, we cancel that subscription and automatically refund the unused, prorated portion of your current billing period.
You may request a full refund of your first Premium purchase, whether a subscription or a lifetime plan, within 14 days of that purchase by contacting us. Outside that window, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or as described above. Automatic subscription renewal charges are not covered by the 14-day window.
We may change Premium pricing. Changes apply to future charges only. For an active subscription we will give notice before a new price takes effect, and you can cancel beforehand; a price change never affects a lifetime purchase you have already made. If a subscription payment fails, we may downgrade the account to the free tier until payment succeeds.
We may take action on accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or its users at risk. Depending on the situation, that can range from restricting access to specific features, to removing content, to suspending or closing the account. You can delete your own account at any time from your account settings, which removes your data.
If we suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, any paid Premium access on that account, including a lifetime purchase, ends with it and no refund is owed. This does not affect the refund rights described under "Premium and billing" for accounts in good standing.
Headcanon Hub is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind. The site is under active development and may change, have downtime, or lose data during this preview.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eggroll Games LLC and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising out of content you post, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or of anyone else’s rights. We may take over the defense of any such claim, and you agree to cooperate with us if we do.
Headcanon Hub is operated by Eggroll Games LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("Eggroll Games," "we," "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Eggroll Games, and are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any dispute relating to these terms or your use of the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing a claim in small-claims court where available.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Eggroll Games LLC regarding Headcanon Hub, and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. Our not enforcing a provision at any time is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours, for example if the service is acquired or reorganized.
We may update these terms as the site evolves. We will update the date above when we do, and continuing to use Headcanon Hub after a change means you accept the revised terms.
